about

A song about some people I've gotten to meet in my life, and the relationships I've shared with them. Written and recorded December 2012 on Mt. Horeb Pike and Rose Street.

lyrics

I heard a thing or two about planting flowers
And how to pick them when they're fully grown
So I grew some flowers of my own

Alstroemeria for a one time lover
And Lenten Roses as you take Clay's Mill
And a hundred thousand clover on a hill

A gardener's got a way with Mother Nature
There he is, out standing in his field
He's got a knack for picking out the roses
And pulling out the weeds that love's revealed

I cleared a space next to the dying oak tree
And dug a patch to plant the wood we've grown
Just in time for us to build a home

A gardener's got a way with Mother Nature
There he is, out standing in his field
He's got a knack for picking out the roses
And pulling out the weeds that love's revealed

I heard a thing or two about planting flowers
And how to pick them when they're fully grown
So I grew some flowers of my own
